Following a week of European Qualifiers and international friendlies, we take a look to see how Premier League players have been affected.

Arsenal

Danny Welbeck was named man of the match for England after grabbing a goal and an assist in their 4-0 win over Lithuania in the European Qualifiers on Friday evening, but returned to Arsenal early with a knee injury and faces a race to be fit for Liverpool on Saturday.

Aaron Ramsey was influential for Wales as he scored the opener in their 3-0 qualifying win over Israel and set up Gareth Bale for the third, while Olivier Giroud was on target for France in their 2-0 friendly win over Denmark. Mesut Ozil was one of Germany’s standout performers as they won by the same scoreline in Georgia.

Aston Villa

Christian Benteke netted his first international goal in over two years as Belgium beat Cyprus 5-0 in their Euro 2016 qualifier, while Fabian Delph played the full 90 minutes for England in their 4-0 win over Lithuania and featured against Italy in the 1-1 draw in Turin.

Callum Robinson scored the winning penalty as England Under-20s beat Mexico 4-2 in a shootout.

Burnley

Danny Ings played the full 90 minutes as England U21s beat their German counterparts 3-2 on Monday night. The striker should have scored in the closing minutes but missed from close range.

Chelsea

Eden Hazard scored in Belgium's 5-0 win over Cyprus in the European Qualifiers on Saturday evening, and appeared alongside Thibaut Courtois in the narrow 1-0 win in Israel on Tuesday.

Elsewhere, Gary Cahill kept a clean sheet in England's 4-0 win over Lithuania on Friday night and was handed the captaincy when Wayne Rooney departed. Cesc Fabregas captained Spain for the first time in the 2-0 friendly defeat by Holland on Tuesday.

Juan Cuadrado played the first half of Colombia’s 3-1 victory over Kuwait in Abu Dhabi on Monday, while at Under-21 level Mario Pasalic scored for Croatia as they defeated Greece 2-0 in a friendly.

Belgium will be without captain Vincent Kompany for their next European Qualifier in Wales after he was sent off in last night's 1-0 win in Israel.

Kurt Zouma came on for the final eight minutes of France’s 2-0 defeat of Denmark on Sunday night to make his first senior international appearance.

Branislav Ivanovic captained the Serbia side and both he and Nemanja Matic played the full match in the 2-1 defeat at Portugal. There was a consolation for Matic, who scored a superb bicycle kick to equalise for Serbia.

Tammy Abraham hit a brace and Dominic Solanke also scored as England Under-18s beat Switzerland 6-1 in a friendly on Saturday. 

Crystal Palace

Eagles captain Mile Jedinak will be in bouyant mood after scoring a free-kick to help Australia draw 2-2 with world champions Germany in a friendly, although the Socceroos followed that with a frustrating 0-0 draw against Macedonia. 

Goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey made a crucial second-half save in Wales’ 3-0 win over Israel in their Euro 2016 qualifier.

Everton

Steven Naismith netted for Scotland in their 6-1 victory over Gibraltar in the European Qualifiers while James McCarthy, Seamus Coleman and Aiden McGeady all started for Republic of Ireland as they drew 1-1 with Poland.

Muhamed Besic was involved in Bosnia's 3-0 win over Andorra and then the 1-1 draw with Austria, while John Stones played a key defensive role as England U21s beat Germany U21s 3-2 in a fantastic clash at the Riverside Stadium.

Hull

Robbie Brady played in Republic of Ireland's dramatic 1-1 draw with Poland, while Andrew Robertson helped Scotland thrash Gibraltar 6-1. Meanwhile, Maynor Figueroa will return home a happy man after helping Honduras win their Gold Cup play-off against French Guyana.  

Leicester

Goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel made his first international appearance since returning from a foot injury but could not prevent Denmark losing 2-0 to France in a friendly. Wes Morgan helped Jamaica to friendly wins over Venezuela and Cuba, while Riyad Mahrez had mixed fortunes in the Middle East, as Algeria lost to Qatar but beat Oman.

Liverpool

Daniel Sturridge missed England’s matches against Lithuania and Italy after sustaining a hip injury in the recent defeat to Manchester United, but Jordan Henderson started both games. Raheem Sterling scored his first international goal in England's 4-0 win at Wembley but did not travel to Turin due to a toe injury.

Philippe Coutinho featured for an hour at the Emirates in Brazil’s 1-0 friendly win over Chile, but Lazar Markovic could not prevent Serbia losing their Euro 2016 qualifier 2-1 to Portugal.

Emre Can featured for the entire contest as Germany U21s lost 3-2 to England U21s and he was close to claiming a goal with a dangerous free-kick that was saved before half-time.

Manchester City

Edin Dzeko served a reminder of his goalscoring prowess by netting a hat-trick for Bosnia in their Euro 2016 qualifying victory over Andorra, before playing the full 90 minutes in a 1-1 draw with Austria. 

Vincent Kompany skippered Belgium to a 5-0 win over Cyprus but was sent off in his side's victory over Israel after picking up two yellow cards and will miss his country's crunch qualifier with Wales. 

Stefan Jovetic was involved in an eventful match for Montenegro that was suspended early on after a flare hit Russia 'keeper Igor Akinfeev and was then abandoned in the second half after another disturbance.

Sergio Aguero bagged the opening goal of the night in Argentina's 2-1 friendly win over Ecuador on Tuesday.

Manchester United

Marouane Fellaini enjoyed the international break more than most after scoring two in a 5-0 win over Georgia and netting the winner for Belgium in Israel.  

Radamel Falcao equalled Colombia's national scoring record with his 24th international goal in the 3-1 win over Kuwait. Falcao, at Old Trafford on a season's loan from Monaco, drew level with Arnoldo Iguaran's record by scoring a penalty.

Marcos Rojo and Angel Di Maria played in Argentina's 2-1 win over Ecuador.

Newcastle

Adam Armstrong scored the only goal in England U-18s’ 1-0 friendly win over Switzerland on Thursday and then captained the side and netted twice more, including a free-kick, as England beat the Swiss 6-1 on Saturday.

Moussa Sissoko started for France in their 3-1 friendly defeat to Brazil, but Tim Krul and Daryl Janmaat were both unused subs in Netherlands’ 1-1 Euro 2016 qualifying draw with Turkey.

QPR

Mauricio Isla and Eduardo Vargas were unable to inspire Chile to victory as they suffered back-to-back friendly defeats to Iran and Brazil.

Vargas started in the 2-0 loss to Iran and twice went close to scoring while Isla played the full 90 minutes in the 1-0 defeat to Brazil at the Emirates.

Southampton

Shane Long came off the bench to rescue a point for Republic of Ireland as they drew 1-1 with Poland in their Euro 2016 Group D qualifier.

Toby Alderweireld set up a goal and helped Belgium keep a clean sheet in their 5-0 win over Cyprus in Group B before shutting out Israel on Tuesday. 

Dusan Tadic and Filip Djuricic both featured for Serbia in Group I but could not prevent a 2-1 defeat to Jose Fonte’s Portugal.

James Ward-Prowse captained England U21s to an impressive 3-2 victory over Germany and scored the winning goal with eight minutes left.

Harrison Reed, Jack Stephens and Jordan Turnbull all started for England U-20s in their 2-1 friendly win against USA.

Stoke

Marko Arnautovic played an important role in Austria’s 5-0 victory over Liechtenstein in their Euro 2016 Group D qualifier on Friday evening. The 25-year-old scored a goal and grabbed an assist as he played the full 90 minutes.

Goalkeeper Asmir Begovic helped Bosnia record their first qualifying win as he kept a clean sheet in a 3-0 victory over Andorra in Group B.

Team-mates Begovic and Arnautovic then faced each other as Bosnia drew 1-1 with Austria in a friendly on Tuesday night.

Sunderland

Steven Fletcher ended his four-month goal drought in style by scoring a hat-trick in Scotland’s 6-1 victory over minnows Gibraltar in their Euro 2016 Group D qualifier.

The treble is the first scored by a Scotland international since Colin Stein's four goals against Cyprus in 1969.

Black Cats keeper Costel Pantilimon helped Romania remain top of Group F with a 1-0 win over Faroe Islands

Swansea

Swansea captain Ashley Williams celebrated winning his 50th cap for Wales by leading his country to a 3-0 win over Israel in Group B of the European Qualifiers.

Neil Taylor also played the full 90 minutes as Wales claimed a vital victory in their qualification bid.

Gylfi Sigurdsson set up a goal as Iceland maintained their strong start to qualifying with a 3-0 victory over Kazakhstan in Group A.

Lukasz Fabianski was denied a clean sheet as Shane Long scored a late equaliser to rescue a point for Republic of Ireland against Group D leaders Poland.

Tottenham

Christian Eriksen set up the winning goal in Denmark’s 3-2 friendly victory over USA in a game that saw the midfielder earn his 50th cap.

Ben Davies was part of the Wales defence that kept a clean sheet in their 3-0 win over Israel in Euro 2016 qualifying Group B.

Vlad Chiriches’ Romania continue to lead the way in Group F of the European Qualifiers after beating Faroe Islands 1-0 while Jan Vertonghen helped Begium to clean sheets and wins against Georgia and Israel. 

West Brom

Gareth McAuley, Chris Brunt and Chris Baird all played 90 minutes as Northern Ireland boosted their hopes of qualifying for Euro 2016 with a 2-1 Group F victory over Finland.

Baird headed in an early corner from Brunt but the goal was ruled out for offside.

James Morrison was involved for Scotland as they eased past Gibraltar 6-1 in Group D and Jason Davidson featured for Australia as they held Germany to a 2-2 friendly draw.

West Ham

James Collins helped Wales defeat Israel 3-0 in their Euro 2016 Group B qualifier.

Diego Poyet made his first start for Uruguay U20s as they were beaten 1-0 by Uzbekistan and Cheikhou Kouyate's Senegal defeated Ghana 2-1 in a friendly.

Carl Jenkinson played the entire game as England U21s beat Germany 3-2.
