A look back at Saturday's action from Sky Bet League 2.

Shrewsbury's unbeaten home run was finally brought to an end on Saturday as Northampton emerged from Greenhous Meadow with a 2-1 win.

With Chelsea the only team to previously win at the ground this season, the Cobblers became the first League Two side to take the points in Shropshire courtesy of goals from Chris Hackett and Joel Byrom.

Mickey Dimitriou pulled one back with six minutes remaining, but Northampton held on to move into the top ten and leave the Shrews second, three points behind leaders Burton.

Albion failed to extend their lead at the top of the table as they suffered a second straight defeat with a 1-0 reverse at home to Newport County.

Miles Storey scored the game's solitary goal as Newport moved into the top seven in Jimmy Dack's first game as permanent manager.

Wycombe were the only member of the top three to pick up a point, although they had keeper Matt Ingram to thank after he saved Dean Parrett's penalty eight minutes into added time to earn a 2-2 draw with Stevenage.

The Chairboys earlier led through Fred Onyedinma after 10 minutes only for Tom Pett and Parrett to put Boro ahead at the interval.

Onyedinma then scored his second with 19 minutes remaining before Chris Beardsley was sent off for a second yellow card to leave the visitors with 10 men.

Yet they should have snatched the points when Alfie Mawson fouled Ben Kennedy in the area, but Ingram had the final say.

Luton's 2-0 win over Accrington Stanley leaves them two points back in fourth - Jayden Stockley and Luke Guttridge scoring for the Hatters - while Southend are a point further adrift in fifth after second-half goals from Michael Timlin and Barry Corr earned a 2-0 win over Carlisle, who slip into the bottom two following their fourth successive defeat.

Cheltenham are out of the relegation zone after beating Tranmere 2-0, while bottom-side Hartlepool earned a 1-0 win over AFC Wimbledon to move within six points of safety thanks to Ryan Bird's debut goal.

Meanwhile, Bury strengthened their play-off hopes with a 2-0 win at Plymouth, who slip out of the top seven, while Cambridge ended their nine-match winless run in all competitions by beating Morecambe 2-0.

Mansfield edged Dagenham 2-1 thanks to Junior Brown's late goal while Portsmouth against Oxford and York versus Exeter both finished goalless.
