Notts County Ladies made a triple swoop on Tuesday with the signings of Laura Bassett, Alex Greenwood and Jessica Sigsworth.

Centre-back Basset is the second England player in two days to leave Chelsea and join County after the club’s acquisition of forward Rachel Williams on Monday.

England full-back Alex Greenwood also joined County on Tuesday after leaving Everton where she has been since the age of eight.

And the club completed a hat-trick of signings by clinching the signature of England youth forward Jess Sigsworth from Doncaster Rovers Belles.

Chelsea made their fifth post-season signing on Monday after snapping up promising Swedish forward Marija Banusic from Kristianstads DFF.

But in addition to confirming the departure of Williams, Chelsea announced World Cup winner Yuki Ogimi has left the club to join European champions Wolfsburg.

Wolfsburg boss Ralf Kellerman, who is nominated for next week’s FIFA Women’s Coach of the Year award, is delighted at Ogimi’s acquisition.

He said: "This is in anticipation of the new season. With the World Cup in mind, Yuki wanted to move in the winter. We wouldn't have been able to get her in the summer. We have managed to acquire a real goal threat and an international attacker, who is also eligible to play in the Champions League."

Other transfers on Monday saw Everton re-sign former Academy graduate Ellie Stewart from Liverpool Ladies, while Manchester City Women clinched a deal for Wales international Sarah Wiltshire from Yeovil.
