Rangers boss Ally McCoist expects to have striker Kenny Miller back in his first-team plans for the clash with Raith next weekend.
A calf injury has sidelined Miller since the end of August when he scored in the 4-2 win over Queen of the South.
He has only featured four times since returning to the club for his third stint at Ibrox, but McCoist is confident the 34-year-old is ready to return as his side look to make up a five-point gap on Scottish Championship leaders Hearts.
McCoist said: "Kenny is in good nick. He's been back in full training with the squad and he's been training very hard.
"He probably at a push could have been involved for the Livingston game (last weekend) but we decided against it.
"For the sake of one game when he could have another two-week break, we thought it would be more beneficial to Kenny and indeed the team in the longer term to wait a little bit longer.
"His training has been very good and he should be available for the next game against Raith.
"We brought Kenny into the team for his experience, his goalscoring threat and indeed his all-round play.
"It would be difficult to argue we'll certainly look more of a goal threat with Kenny Miller in the team."
