Long-serving St Etienne captain Loic Perrin has signed a two-year contract extension with the Ligue 1 club.
The 29-year-old defender, who joined ASSE back in 2001 before making over 200 league appearances for Les Verts, could assume a coaching role once his playing career comes to an end.
He told the club's official website: "I'm very honoured by the club's offer of a role in the coaching staff once I retire. I know the club very well and I want to continue to be a part of its project."
St Etienne are currently tied for second place with Bordeaux in Ligue 1 and could close the gap on leaders Marseille by beating Les Girondins at the Stade Geoffrey-Guichard on Thursday night.
