Swansea City winger Nathan Dyer has vowed he will ‘never give up’ on earning a call-up to the England squad.

Dyer has enjoyed an impressive start to the season, with Swansea joining Chelsea as the only two clubs to have won their opening three Premier League games.

The 26-year-old scored the only goal in the win over Burnley and netted twice in Swansea’s 3-0 home success over West Brom last weekend.

He is yet to receive international recognition from England coach Roy Hodgson, but Dyer will try to maintain his form in the hope of being rewarded.

“England has been one of those frustrating things,” said Dyer.

“We have made a great start and there are a couple of players here at Swansea in with a shout but we’ll keep performing and working hard to make people notice.

“It would be an honour to get called up and I’ll never give up.

“You can’t give up. I will keep running and playing as well as I can.

“I don’t know what goes on with the England selectors. I’m playing well and hopefully people will see that.”
