Watford have completed the signing of Ecuador World Cup defender Juan Carlos Paredes.

The 27-year-old right-back has agreed a five-year deal to move to Vicarage Road from Granada.

Paredes featured in all of his country's group matches this summer in Brazil and has been capped 41 times.

He had previously played in his native country, where his last club was Sporting Barcelona.

Watford, who have also signed Heurelho Gomes, Gabriel Tamas, Craig Cathcart, Matej Vydra and Daniel Tozser this summer, say the transfer is subject to international clearance.
