Mexico goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa intends to make a decision on his future in a fortnight following his impressive World Cup performances.

Ochoa is a free agent after his contract expired at Ajaccio, where he had spent the past three seasons, and he has been linked with several clubs.

Arsenal and Liverpool have reportedly shown an interest in the 28-year-old, while he has been linked with a move to Malaga following Willy Caballero’s transfer to Manchester City.

He is considering several options across Europe and wants to take his time before committing to a new club.

“I have received several proposals,” said Ochoa. “They are from French teams and others from Europe.

“But it’s still not the moment to decide. I am going to analyse everything and take my time. So, I am going to enjoy this spare time and, in two weeks, when I have taken a decision, I will let the press know.”

When asked where he could continue his career, Ochoa said: “It all depends on the team and where it gets presented. But I will go there being convinced of my decision, being happy, and obviously with the idea of playing.”

Ochoa’s agent Christophe Monga has claimed that the keeper’s preference would be to remain in French football.

"His priority is to stay in Ligue 1,” Monga told Europe 1.

“He was approached by two French clubs, but we rejected the offers because it was not the challenge he was expecting.

“His priority is to stay in France but, if there are no offers, we'll see what happens in the European market.”
