Roma have confirmed the signing of Mali international Seydou Keita on a free transfer.
The former Barcelona midfielder spent the second half of last season at Valencia, making 18 appearances in all competitions, after previously spending a year with Chinese outfit Dalian Aerbin.
Manchester United and Liverpool were among the clubs reported to be keeping tabs on the 34-year-old, but he has now penned a one-year deal in Italy with the option of extending for a further year.
A statement on Roma's official website read: "AS Roma would like to announce that an agreement has been reached for the signing of Malian player Seydou Keita.
"The contract has the duration of one year, expiring on June 30, 2015."
Meanwhile, young defender Tin Jedvaj is set to depart Rudi Garcia's side on loan to join Bayer Leverkusen, as confirmed by the Bundesliga club's sporting director Rudi Voller.
"He's a talent who hasn't played so much," Voller told Gazzetta.it of the 18-year-old.
"We will try to let him play in the next two seasons."
