Non-league hot-shot is a wanted man

Sky Sports understands that non-league hot-shot Damian Reeves is again being lined up for a move into the Football League. Reeves came close to joining Gillingham in the summer, but the appointment of new boss Martin Allen meant the deal was not finalised and he opted to re-sign with Altrincham in the Conference North. Reeves was top scorer in English football last term with a remarkable return of 43 goals and he has started this campaign in similar fashion with 11 goals in seven starts. Now he is back on the agenda of clubs from the Premier League down to League Two, with more than a dozen scouts checking on him every game. Fulham, Peterborough, Preston and Doncaster are amongst those believed to be keeping close tabs on Reeves's progress. The player has a release clause on his Altrincham contract, which means he can leave on a free transfer if he is approached by a League club.
