Andres Iniesta is set to miss Barcelona's opening UEFA Champions League group game after picking up a leg injury playing for Spain.

The midfielder damaged the adductor muscle in his right leg during Spain's World Cup qualifying win over Georgia on Tuesday night and will be out for between "10 to 15 days".

Iniesta is now likely to be missing when Barca get their bid for another Champions League title under way next week against Spartak Moscow.

Before the meeting against the Russian outfit, Barca face Getafe in the Primera Liga at the weekend.

Barca also announced that full-back Jordi Alba, another member of the Spain side that beat Georgia, has the flu and will undergo further tests on Friday.
