Seasiders suit Ince

Midfielder focused on maintaining his fine form

Thomas Ince may be attracting Premier League interest, but the Blackpool midfielder is aware of the need to maintain his current high standards. The 20-year-old, who snubbed the offer of a new deal at Liverpool in 2011 in favour of regular football at Bloomfield Road, is among the most sought-after performers in the Championship right now. A number of top-flight bosses desperate to add a goalscoring midfielder to their books are said to be weighing up the merits of an approach before the summer transfer window slams shut. Blackpool, though, have no intention of selling and Ince maintains that he has no desire to move on.

Consistency

Instead, the highly-rated youngster believes he must focus on ensuring that a flying start to the 2012/13 campaign is not allowed to fizzle out. Fresh from adding another two goals to his tally in a 6-0 drubbing of Ipswich on Saturday, Ince said: "A year ago I was playing reserve-team football, and the gaffer and chairman brought me here. It took me a while to find my feet but, from January onwards, I've enjoyed my football. "Getting the goal at Wembley (in a play-off final defeat to West Ham) really lifted me and I knew I had to take that consistency on. The first three games have gone well for me and I have to keep doing that. "My faith is in Blackpool. These players and this club allow me to express myself."
