Wayne Bridge would give serious thought to joining Brighton & Hove Albion on a permanent basis after becoming a rejuvenated man.
The former England left-back this summer joined the Championship club on a season-long loan from Manchester City, where he had played just 36 games over the past two campaigns.
And Bridge is relishing the regular football at Brighton having further added to his enjoyment on the South Coast with a goal in Saturday's thrashing of Barnsley.
The ex-Chelsea player, who was signed for City by Mark Hughes in a £12million January 2009 deal and is in the last year of his contract, might stay with the club.
Struggling
Bridge told
The Argus: "You never know. Obviously, I want to do well for the club and if the opportunity comes up, it might suit me.
"I have enjoyed every minute here, so I definitely wouldn't say no to that. Everyone that knows me, friends and family, have seen the change in me.
"Over the last few years, it has been difficult but they seem to think that I look like I like football more, so it can't be a bad thing."
Meanwhile, Bridge is still trying to fully overcome a groin injury which sidelined him for most of pre-season but he is pleased to be playing.
He said: "I'm still struggling with it a little bit. As long as I can keep playing games and get by I'm not too fussed about it. It is a lot better and touch wood it stays better."
