Rangers boss Ally McCoist has reluctantly accepted that Maurice Edu and Alejandro Bedoya are on their way out of the club.
The Gers have seen a number of senior stars head through the exits on the back of their financial troubles.
Losing players of international class is never easy, especially when they are able to walk away as free agents after rejecting the chance to transfer their contracts to the newco at Ibrox.
That is the situation Rangers have had to deal with, though, and they have worked hard to piece together a competitive squad.
McCoist had been hoping that those still in and around the camp would form part of his rebuilding plans, but he concedes that American duo Edu and Bedoya will be moving on.
The Gers are, however, confident that experienced defensive pair Carlos Bocanegra and Dorin Goian will be sticking around for a Scottish Third Division promotion push.
"It looks like Maurice and Alejandro will be leaving," McCoist told the Daily Record.
"But I'm planning on Carlos and Dorin being here until I hear otherwise."
