Striker found the net ten times last season for both club and country

Andre Schurrle's father has played down reports that Italian giants Inter Milan have joined the race to take the German starlet away from Bayer Leverkusen. The player shot to the top of the shopping list of a number of big clubs around Europe when he capped an excellent Bundesliga season with some solid performances at Euro 2012. Leverkusen are desperate to hang onto their striker, who only joined a year ago from Mainz, and are reported to have rejected big-money offers from both Bayern Munich and Chelsea already this summer. And his father Joachim Schurrle insists he is happy with his current deal and has had no contact with Inter. "Andre is with Bayer Leverkusen," his dad was quoted in Cologne based newspaper Express. "He still has a contract at the club. "We are unaware of a potential interest of a club like Internazionale in the services of Andre. All we actually know is just what the newspapers have written down lately."
