Brighton striker out for up to six weeks with fractured foot

Brighton & Hove Albion striker Will Hoskins will miss the start of the campaign after suffering a fractured foot in pre-season training. Hoskins picked up the injury during last week's trip to Spain and is expected to be sidelined for up to six weeks. Seagulls boss Gus Poyet confirmed the extent of the injury and is waiting to learn whether the 26-year-old requires an operation. "It's just Will Hoskins who's out and he unfortunately has a broken foot," Poyet told the club's official website. "We will have to get it right, possibly an operation and it will probably take about six weeks. "It didn't seem too serious but on Monday morning it was very painful so we got it examined." Hoskins made just nine appearances for Brighton last season after joining from Bristol Rovers and also spent a spell on loan at Sheffield United.
