Stoke boss will play a waiting game before deciding on keepers

Thomas Sorensen and Asmir Begovic will slug it out over pre-season for the No.1 spot at Stoke City. The goalkeeping duties during their tour of America have been shared between the two in order to give them equal opportunity to impress boss Tony Pulis. The pair were given a half each in the first match in the States and Sorensen played 90 minutes in the 1-0 success at Orlando City on Saturday leaving Begovic a full game against Kansas on Sunday before the team return to England. And, although Begovic ended the season as the first choice in goal, Pulis remained open to Sorensen adding to his 115 appearances at the club. "Nothing is certain and I'm certainly not going to make a decision right now," Pulis told The Sentinel. "It's a situation I will make an assessment on nearer the time, which means there is plenty for them to play for in pre-season. "We have good competition between the pair of them and you hope that brings the best out of both."
