Midfielder set for talks with Welsh outfit

Rayo Vallecano have confirmed to Sky Sports that they have accepted a bid from Swansea City for midfield ace Michu. A host of Premier League sides including Manchester United, Fulham, Stoke City, Liverpool, Southampton, Sunderland, Wigan and West Brom have been linked with the 26-year-old who is also interesting Sevilla. But Swansea are now in pole position to land the goalscoring midfielder after a bid of £1.5million was accepted. Michu scored 15 goals in La Liga last season, and has already admitted he would like the chance to play in the Premier League. And now new Swansea coach Michael Laudrup is looking to make a swoop on Michu. "Now Michu is negotiating with Swansea," a spokesperson confirmed. It is understood Swansea are ready to offer Michu a three-year deal in South Wales as they look to seal a signature which would be something of a coup. Michu could help fill the void left by Gylfi Sigurdsson, who opted to join Tottenham rather than make his loan move permanent.
