Defender has reportedly returned to Mexico with Club America

Mexican defender Efrain Juarez insists he was not disappointed with his time at Celtic, despite struggling to make an impact at Parkhead. The 24-year-old was on the Hoops' books for two years after joining in the summer of 2010, spending the first half of last season on loan at Spanish side Real Zaragoza. He notched up only 13 Scottish Premier League starts while at Celtic Park and has reportedly returned to Mexico with Club America. Despite his limited appearances with the Bhoys, Juarez told TDN: "In my experience there were very good moments and a few that were not so good. "In the end I don't consider it a disappointment."

Changes

He added: "The coach, Neil Lennon, is always seeking changes and I was among them. "He changes the players and for the beginning of the second part of the season the team started to work, so that wasn't good for me." Juarez also struggled to find his feet at Zaragoza and feels the exit of coach Javier Aguirre kept him out of the team. He said: "I lost many chances of being in the first team the moment Aguirre left."
