Magpies face stiff competition to land full-back

Newcastle target Mathieu Debuchy insists his future will be decided after the Euro finals, with interest in the full-back hotting up. Bayern Munich, Inter Milan and Valencia are being linked with the 26-year-old, who came through the Lille academy. It has been reported that Lille have received first bids for the defender from England and Italy, but these were for about €5 million, while the club want at least €8 million for a player under contract until 2015. Debuchy himself insists he will not sort out his club future until France's European Championship campaign has ended. He said: "Right now, I am focused on the Euros. I have wishes but we will discuss them later." Debuchy played for Les Bleus against England on Monday and it is thought Newcastle chief scout Graham Carr was among the crowd to watch. If Debuchy does depart, Christophe Jallet is believed to be a top target as a replacement. The Paris Saint Germain defender is under contract until 2015 but could become surplus to requirements, with the club being linked with Barcelona's Daniel Alves and Inter's Maicon.
