Oczipka leaves Bayer Leverkusen for an undisclosed fee

Promoted Eintracht Frankfurt have bolstered their first-team squad for the new Bundesliga campaign with the signing of former Germany youth international Bastian Oczipka. The full-back has moved from Bayer Leverkusen for an undisclosed fee, as his contract at BayArena was set to expire just in June 2013. Eintracht general manager Bruno Hubner is pleased with the signing and thinks it will be a good solution in defence. Hubner told Frankfurter Neue Presse newspaper: "Bastian exactly fits into the demanded profile we had put up (for a left-back). "In addition to this, he has been the solution our manager, Armin Veh, was keen on. Therefore we are delighted to welcome the player to Eintracht Frankfurt."
