Red Devils closing on highly-rated winger

Sky Sports understands that League One new boys Crawley have had a bid accepted by Torquay for Eunan O'Kane. The 21-year-old has been on the books at Plainmoor since 2009, when the Gulls brought him over from Northern Ireland. The highly-rated midfielder has shone throughout his time in England and interest in his services has mounted steadily. Swindon are already believed to have made an approach for his services since the 2011/12 campaign came to a close.

Race

The Robins are looking to bolster their ranks ahead of a shot at the third tier next season, as are Crawley. It is understood that the Red Devils have now moved to the front of the queue when it comes to race to secure O'Kane's signature. They are believed to have had an offer accepted and are now in the process of piecing together a package that will lure the Republic of Ireland U21 international to the Broadfield Stadium. O'Kane switched his international allegiance to the Republic in November 2011 having previously represented Northern Ireland at various youth levels.
