Defender confident he is over his injury problems

Republic of Ireland defender John O'Shea has declared himself fit for Euro 2012 after recovering from a couple of knocks. O'Shea is set to feature in the Republic's final warm-up game against Hungary on Monday after shaking off calf and ankle problems. The 31-year-old has missed a large chunk of training this week, but the Sunderland man insists he is over his problems and should be fit to face Hungary as well as Croatia in Ireland's Euro 2012 opener. "I'm really looking forward to playing a part in Hungary," said O'Shea. "I was never really worried and when I injured it initially. "I could have carried on but I didn't want to make it even worse. "I was always confident of playing in the finals."
