Inverness Caledonian Thistle striker Gregory Tade claims the lure of European football has led him to decide to join St Johnstone.
Tade is out of contract at Inverness and he is one of several players to have been offered terms to stay by manager Terry Butcher.
However, with St Johnstone having qualified for the Europa League, the 25-year-old is ready to sign a two-year deal at McDiarmid Park.
He told the Daily Express: "I would expect everything to be agreed over the next 24 hours and I will become a St Johnstone player.
"They have offered me a two-year-contract and getting the chance to play European football was probably the big thing for me in joining St Johnstone.
"I don't want to be disrespectful to Inverness because they are a great club and I will be forever grateful to them for giving me my chance in the SPL.
"I have phoned Terry Butcher and thanked him for the opportunity he has given me. I am very grateful to him but it isn't all about money."
St Johnstone have already signed defenders Gary Miller and Tam Scobbie from Ross County and Falkirk respectively, while Inverness appear set to lose winger Jonny Hayes to Aberdeen.
