Sky Sports understands Tottenham Hotspur are lining up a move for Brighton & Hove Albion defender Grant Hall.
Hall, who made his Brighton debut this season, is out of contract this summer and has yet to agree a new deal at the Amex Stadium.
The news has alerted Tottenham to Hall's possible availability with Spurs having watched the central defender on several occasions this season.
Hall came through Brighton's centre of excellence but missed out on a youth scholarship at 16 and was released.
However, Hall earned a second chance at Brighton after impressing at Lewes and he made the breakthrough into Gus Poyet's first-team plans this season.
The 20-year-old has made three appearances this term and is regarded as one of the best prospects at the club.
Brighton would be loath to lose Hall, but they could face a fight to keep him if Spurs firm up their interest in the defender.
