Milan have confirmed the signing of Fiorentina midfielder Riccardo Montolivo on a free transfer.
The move has been mooted for some time, but now Milan have finally confirmed Montolivo will move to the San Siro this summer.
Montolivo arrives as a free agent after seeing out his contract at the Artemio Franchi.
The Italy international will help bolster Milan's midfield options and help fill the void left by Clarence Seedorf, Gennaro Gattuso and Mark van Bommel's departures this summer.
"Next season Montolivo will arrive and he is a very talented player with great technique," Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri told the club's official website.
"In any case, Milan will remain competitive next year and we must continue the work we started last season. We need to begin again with great enthusiasm."
