Defender's agent remains coy on summer plans

Inter defender Cristian Chivu has yet to decide on whether he will accept the new contract offered by the Italian club. The Romanian's current contract with the Nerazzurri expires at the end of the season and he has been given a new offer that will see him earn €2million a year, almost twice as less as his current wage. The 31-year-old's agent has refused to divulge what his client is going to do in June, insisting that he has yet to make up his mind. "Inter have made us a proposition, we'll see," Victor Becali told Tuttomercatoweb.com. "I don't know if Cristian will accept it, I'm not sure. He would stay at Inter, but the conditions must be good. "We'll talk again with the club officials in the next week. "€2million as a wage? Let's see, we know that for football, it's a difficult time, but Cristian hasn't yet decided what to do."
