Redknapp - I had no options

Spurs boss points to a lack of squad depth after defeat at QPR

Harry Redknapp bemoaned the shortage of options on Tottenham's substitute bench after seeing his side lose at QPR. Adel Taarabt's first-half free-kick was enough to separate the sides as Spurs struggled to break down their hosts, even after Taarabt was sent off. And the Tottenham boss was left to lament a lack of luck as well as players. "I don't think Brad (Friedel) has had a save to make in all honesty, we just couldn't score," said Redknapp. "We just couldn't get the break, we just needed a bit of luck in front of goal today. "I had no options on the bench. There was one striker fit and there was no one else to play with him. Really, we had no cover at centre-half and no cover up front. "No disrespect to the bench but it is nowhere near the sort of bench we had six to eight weeks ago." He added: "I have only seen one bad performance and that was against Norwich. I couldn't sit here and say we have been playing badly. "We have four games to go and I'm confident we can win all four."
