Blues boss defends Torres start in defeat at Man City

Chelsea interim boss Roberto Di Matteo insists there are no problems with Fernando Torres and Didier Drogba over his team selection against Manchester City. Di Matteo started with Torres in attack, leaving Drogba on the bench after the Spain international impressed in last weekend's FA Cup win over Leicester. Torres was replaced by Drogba midway through the second half and the former Liverpool man appeared to exchange words with Di Matteo when he was brought off. However, Di Matteo defended his decision to start with Torres and is adamant there was no disagreement with either the former Liverpool man or Drogba.

No problem

"I just thought to start the game, the dynamic of the team, it was going to be the right decision, he had a very good performance on Sunday," said Di Matteo. "There is no problem with Didier. "And no player is happy about being substituted but there is absolutely no problem with Fernando. "I communicate with all my players, there is no problem."
