Leeds United striker Danny Webber insists that any uncertainties regarding his long-term future have been shelved until the end of the season.
The 30-year-old joined the Championship side on a deal until the end of the season earlier in March following an eight-month search for a new club.
The former Manchester United trainee had trials with several clubs, including Queens Park Rangers and Celtic, before opting to reunite with ex-Sheffield United manager Neil Warnock at Elland Road.
Webber is enjoying the chance to play first-team football again for the next few months after making three appearances to date and will let his future sort itself out in the summer.
Clear head
"I'm really enjoying it here and it's just nice to be back playing again," Webber told
Sky Sports.
"I've come back into football with a very clear head and it has been a great few weeks since I joined the club.
"First and foremost, it is a case of me playing football for the rest of this season.
"I turned down various offers that I didn't think were right for me, for different reasons, during my time out of the game.
"A lot of people say that you should take anything when you miss football, but I wasn't prepared to play at a level that I wasn't happy at and didn't challenge me because of a lack ambition or just to be playing football.
"It doesn't matter who you are because everyone needs some form of stimulation when you get out of bed every morning and Leeds definitely ticked all the boxes.
"The summer isn't in the forefront of my mind at the moment, so I'll just focus on playing well for Leeds for the rest of the season and then look at the summer when it comes round."
Grateful
An injury sustained during pre-season training with QPR delayed his return to football after leaving Portsmouth last summer and Webber is hoping to make up for lost time.
He added: "Basically, I picked up a little injury whilst at QPR during pre-season and it was misdiagnosed unfortunately.
"That set me back a few months and then you are always playing catch up to regain that sharpness and fitness.
"I was doing that rehab all by myself at the time until Sir Alex Ferguson offered to let me come in to Manchester United and train with them, which I was massively grateful for."
