Young defender commits to Feyenoord until 2016

Feyenoord defender Bruno Martins Indi has agreed a new deal to keep him at De Kuip until summer 2016. The 20-year-old's old contract is due to expire next summer but he is set to put pen to paper on a new three-year deal. Indi came through the youth ranks at the Eredivisie club and has notched up 32 appearances since making his senior debut in August 2010. "I am pleased and proud that I will continue to play for such a big club as Feyenoord for a longer time," the Netherland Under-19 international told the club's official website. "The confidence that the club has in me makes me feel good. I want these extra years to show Feyenoord I am worthy and will help the club to a higher level." Feyenoord technical director Martin van Geel has been impressed by Indi's progress so far. He added: "Bruno is already a good left-footed central defender and at just 20 years old is making huge strides in his development."
