QPR midfielder wants to avenge 6-0 hammering by Fulham

Shaun Derry says Queens Park Rangers have a point to prove when Fulham make the short trip to Loftus Road on Saturday. With their grounds situated just three miles apart, the match is all about local bragging rights in the Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. Rangers slumped to a 6-0 defeat in the reverse fixture back in October and Derry says the players are desperate to make amends. Derry told the Fulham Chronicle: "That was embarrassing for the players and the fans. It was our worst performance of the season. "No one wants to lose like that, especially to your local rivals, but we're a completely different team now."

Hostile

Bobby Zamora could be in for an interesting reception from the visiting fans after making the move to QPR on deadline and Derry is happy to have the England striker on his side this time round. The 34-year-old added: "Bobby was the outstanding player on the pitch when we played Fulham earlier in the season. "He was a real handful for our defence, so hopefully he can have the same impact for us at the weekend." QPR will be desperate for the points after a run of just one win in their last 10 games has seen them slip towards the drop zone. Derry said: "We need to start picking up points because we're in a run of games where we face all of the sides around us."
