Everton have signed free agent midfielder Francisco Santos Da Silva Junior on a four-and-a-half year contract, subject to international clearance.
The 20-year-old, known as Francisco Junior, completed a medical and personal terms at Everton's Finch Farm training headquarters on Tuesday.
Born in Guinea-Bissau, Junior came through the youth system at Benfica and has been capped twice by Portugal at Under 21 level.
He spent time with Manchester City's development team earlier in the season before Everton swooped to secure his signature.
