Leicester City have reached a mutual agreement to cancel the contract of defender Michael Ball.

Full-backs contract cancelled by mutual consent

Leicester City have reached a mutual agreement to cancel the contract of defender Michael Ball. The 32-year-old joined the club on a one-year deal last season following a successful trial. However, the player, who has played for Everton, Rangers, Manchester City and PSV Eindhoven, failed to make an impression at the King Power Stadium. He featured three times under former manager Sven Goran Eriksson, but has fallen down the pecking order under current boss Nigel Pearson. Ball made his last appearance for the Foxes in a Carling Cup tie at Cardiff back in September and it is understood the decision was made purely on footballing grounds.
