German outfit keen on Manchester United striker

Bundesliga outfit Hannover have confirmed their interest in signing Manchester United striker Mame Biram Diouf. The 24-year-old is on the fringes of the first-team at Old Trafford and has never really made an impact since his move from Molde. He has featured for United in the Carling Cup this season, but has been linked with a move away and now Hannover have admitted they would like him. When asked about a possible deal, Hannover general manager Jorg Schmadtke said: "That is true. "He is fast, resolute and runs straight at goal. "We have been after him already some time ago, unfortunately he then moved from Molde to Manchester United." Schmadtke added: "Both clubs, his agent and the player are in talks."
