Ipswich Town manager Paul Jewell has admitted that he is not sure whether Leicester City defender Sean St Ledger will sign for his team in January.
St Ledger has fallen out of favour at Leicester and Ipswich have been linked with a move to bring the 27-year-old to Portman Road.
Jewell is looking to shore up his back four but he is unsure whether he will be able to convince the centre-back to play for his team for the second half of the 2011/12 season.
"Central defence is an area we are looking to improve," he said on Saturday.
"I've spoken to (Leicester manager) Nigel Pearson and the player's agent but there's a few clubs in for Sean and it now depends on the player."
