Burnley make to make Mee loan switch permanent
Championship outfit Burnley are closing on a deal to secure the permanent signing of Ben Mee from Manchester City.
The England Under-21 full-back joined the Clarets on loan for the season in the summer and has gone on to make 17 Championship starts as Eddie Howe's side push for promotion.
The Clarets boss has been impressed with the contribution of the 22-year-old and is hopeful of securing his services on a permanent deal this month.
Howe said: "We have been in discussions with Ben and his agent and hopefully we're not far away."
Happy
Mee himself is happy with life at Turf Moor.
He said: "I'm really enjoying it here. Everyone is happy and the training is good."
If Mee does move on a permanent deal to Turf Moor, he will follow in the footsteps of Kieran Trippier, who signed for £900,000 from City on Tuesday after enjoying a successful loan spell.
