AC Milan have declared their meeting with Manchester City over a deal for Carlos Tevez a success.
Officials from both clubs met on Thursday to try and reach an agreement over a move for the unsettled Argentine during the January transfer window.
City are willing to sell Tevez after his infamous fall out with manager Roberto Mancini following his alleged refusal to warm up in their UEFA Champions League defeat to Bayern Munich in September.
The Rossoneri, meanwhile, are believed to have wanted to sign Tevez on loan in January until the end of the Serie A season with a view to a permanent transfer in the summer.
Milan sporting director Ariedo Braida believes progress is being made on the deal and he confirmed talks are ongoing between all parties.
"I have nothing to declare for now," Braida told Corriere dello Sport.
"We remain in contact. I'm not a magician though so I don't know how things will end up. Nevertheless, everything is good, everything is normal...
"The meeting went well."
Both sides are expected to meet again in the next week to try and thrash out a deal to see Tevez make the switch to the San Siro.
