Chicago Fire custodian will be in Liverpool next week

Chicago Fire goalkeeper Sean Johnson will train with Premier League club Everton next week. Johnson was impressive with the USA Under-23 national team during their nine-day camp in Germany in November and will be sent to work under America's first choice custodian Tim Howard at Everton from 4th December until 10th December. "I think it's great when you have opportunities like this," Fire head coach Frank Klopas told MLSsoccer.com. "Everton were here a few years ago and played us in an exhibition match and those relationships that you build go a long way with opportunities like this for guys like Sean. "I think it's great for Sean to be in a different environment and to continue training at a high level," added Klopas. "It's only going to benefit him and our team." Johnson, 22, is rated as one of the more promising young American footballers and has already earned one international cap for his country at senior level.
