Club chief in dark over Liverpool and Inter speculation

PSV Eindhoven chief Marcel Brands insists the club have had no contact with Liverpool or Inter Milan over the possible sale of highly-rated midfielder Kevin Strootman. Both clubs are thought to be chasing the 21-year-old, who has made a big impact at PSV since arriving from Eredivisie rivals FC Utrecht in the summer. However, Strootman is contracted in Eindhoven until 2016 and Brands insists there is nothing behind the speculation. When questioned over the Liverpool and Inter links, Brands told calciomercato: "I honestly do not know anything. "And in any case, I do not see how there can be rumours about a player who arrived three months ago and signed a five-year deal." Brands insists PSV have no interest in selling any of their key players in January as they target title success this season. He added: "Right now we are aiming to win the title and that is why we are not interested in any offers."
