Midfielder calls on squad to start winning away

Chris Herd has issued a rallying cry to his Aston-Villa team-mates after they were out-classed by Tottenham Hotspur in Monday night's 2-0 defeat. Villa are yet to win away in the league this season and never looked like ending that run at White Hart Lane. They only managed one shot on target in the entire game and surrendered possession all too easily. Tottenham were always in control and arguably should have won the game by more than the two-goal margin. Next up for Villa is a trip to Swansea on Sunday and Herd wants the team to make up for Monday's meek performance. He said: "We came to Tottenham fully confident of coming away with a result, but we didn't get it and we are disappointed with that, especially with the fans travelling such a long way to come and see us.

Problems

"Now we have to go back to the training ground, talk as a team to find out where we went wrong and try to fix those problems. "Hopefully we can bounce back this weekend and get a result at Swansea. We have a massive ground and great fans at Villa Park so we are obviously good at home, we now just need to improve our away form. "We are a confident team. We will pick ourselves up and go on to the next one."
