Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard is looking to extend his contract with the club after rumours of a move to LA Galaxy.

Vice-captain would be happy to extend his contract

Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard would be happy to extend his contract after manager Andre Villas-Boas announced he is planning to make changes to his ageing squad. The England international's current deal runs until 2013 and he is keen to remain at Stamford Bridge for as long as possible. Lampard has been rotated on and off the bench this season but he is still the club's top goal-scorer with seven goals to his name. There have been rumours that LA Galaxy wanted to sign the 33-year-old because of David Beckham's expected departure at the end of the year but the Londoner has blown away any transfer talks. "As it stands I have this season and next season and I would love to extend that," said Lampard in the Evening Standard. "As long as the club want me, I will be here. "Whatever anyone says about me going anywhere else, I will be here, without a doubt."
