England boss praises La Furia Roja for their playing style

England coach Fabio Capello has hailed Spain as the best team in the world and believes that they will continue to remain so for the next four or five years. The Italian was speaking ahead of the Three Lions' friendly international against Sweden at Wembley on Tuesday. Capello's side will head into the game on the back of a 1-0 victory over European and world champions Spain on Saturday, but have come under some criticism from the Spanish players and press for their defensive approach. However, Capello has shrugged off those criticisms and explains that he had no option other than to take a cautious approach to the match, but extolled Vicente del Bosque's side.

Fantastic style

"I think when you play against Spain, you prepare to play midfielders and forwards but the style in which Spain play makes it difficult to play against them," said the Italian on Monday. "I think Spain have a fantastic style of football and are the best team in the world, and will remain so for the next four or five years because they have a young team. "When you play against teams like Spain and Barcelona, you need to play defensive and counter-attacking football. The quality of these players is so high that it is difficult to win the ball. "Another important thing is that when they lose the ball, they are compelled to win it back quickly and this is a new style of football."
