Cardiff star insists he is happy to have snubbed Premier interest
Cardiff star Aron Gunnarsson insists he has no regrets about shunning a summer switch to the Premier League.
The 22-year-old left Coventry in the summer and opted to move to South Wales.
The Icelander, who helped Cardiff to a 5-3 win over Barnsley at the weekend with two goals, insists he wants to make sure he is ready to make the move to the top-flight.
"It's what I have wanted ever since I was a young boy," said Gunnarsson.
Dream
"It's my dream. When I was 14 I had a short spell with Ipswich, who were in the Premier League at the time.
"There were also one or two other clubs who showed an interest in me before I went to Coventry.
"But it was important to have a stepping stone. I didn't want to go to a Premier League club and spend my time playing in the reserves.
"I would love to go up with this club. Cardiff already feels special to me."
