French full-back poised to agree terms with Championship outfit
Pascal Chimbonda has held talks with Doncaster Rovers over a proposed move to the Keepmoat Stadium.
New Donny boss Dean Saunders has wasted no time in seeking out renowned talent currently out of work, with El-Hadji Diouf also in talks with the club.
Chimbonda was released by Queens Park Rangers at the end of last season but the one-time France international has yet to put pen to paper on an offer.
"They're giving me the opportunity to play here. I didn't sign yet, but we'll see," he told Sky Sports News.
"It's not a big decision because I always want to play football. It's a good opportunity - the Championship is a really hard league and it's competitive."
Doncaster, who host Hull City on Tuesday night, are bottom of the Championship table and parted ways with former boss Sean O'Driscoll last week.
