Striker confident he can score goals following move to Reading

Adam Le Fondre feels he has joined the 'perfect club' to fulfil his ambition of playing in the Premier League following his recent move to Reading. The striker has been a prolific goalscorer in the lower leagues and secured the chance to test himself in the Championship by joining Reading from Rotherham United last month. He is confident he can continue to score goals for the Royals and is keen to help Brian McDermott's side win promotion to the top flight. "I want to be in the Premier League and Reading are the perfect club to do that with," said Le Fondre. "The set-up is top class and so are the coaches and everything is here for me to develop and improve as a player and make a success of it. "I've scored goals everywhere I've been and I'm confident I can do it again with Reading."

Robson-Kanu praise

Meanwhile, Royals midfielder Jem Karacan has heaped praise on team-mate Hal Robson-Kanu after the winger signed a new contract in the summer. Karacan told the Reading Post: "I think Hal has proved that he can score goals. We always knew he had that in his locker and he is one of the strongest geezers I've ever come across. "The transformation in him over the last few years has been brilliant. "He's strong, quick and powerful. Even in training you don't want to be against him because he will give defenders a nightmare. "It's a brilliant bit of business from this club signing him for another three years as well."
