New Foxes hitman set for spell on sidelines with hamstring knock

Leicester striker David Nugent will be out for 'four or five weeks' with a hamstring injury, manager Sven Goran Eriksson has confirmed. Nugent picked up the problem during the opening stages of last weekend's 3-2 home win over Southampton and had to be replaced by teenager Jeff Schlupp after just seven minutes. The 26-year-old looks set to miss most of the Foxes' September schedule, which includes trips to Barnsley, Cardiff and Middlesbrough plus a home game against Brighton. "It's disappointing but it looks like he will be out for four or five weeks," Eriksson told the media on Thursday. "It is not good news." Nugent joined from Portsmouth in the summer and has scored twice in his first five starts for the club. Eriksson moved to bolster his attacking ranks on transfer deadline day with the signing of Jermaine Beckford from Everton for an undisclosed fee.
