Megson makes move for striker
Skysports.com understands Sheffield Wednesday have tabled a bid for Bury hit-man Ryan Lowe.
Wednesday boss Gary Megson is desperate to bolster his attacking options before the close of the transfer window and he is targeting a move for Lowe.
Megson has been frustrated in his attempts to land a new forward and is hoping to strike a deal to bring Lowe to Hillsborough.
Lowe has carried his form from last season into the new campaign, having scored seven goals already this term in League One.
The 32-year-old enjoyed a stunning campaign with Bury helping them win promotion from League Two, and in the process set a new club record of scoring in nine consecutive games.
Bury are reluctant to lose Lowe, but they could face a fight to keep him at Gigg Lane before the transfer window slams shut on Wednesday.
