Gers boss insists all is quiet on transfer front

Rangers manager Ally McCoist insists the club have no offers outstanding to bring fresh faces to Ibrox. The Gers boss has been busy this summer with no less than six players joining to strengthen the SPL champions. However, the club have missed out on targets such as ADO Den Haag's Wesley Verhoek and Roland Juhasz of Anderlecht. Reports in Germany are linking Rangers with a move for Eintracht Frankfurt's Greek striker Theofanis Gekas, although McCoist insists no bids have been tabled for anyone. The Gers tactician is also crossing his fingers that nobody leaves the Light Blues before the transfer window closes.

Offers

"There has been no offers for players and we have not been back in for anybody," commented McCoist. "There are 72 hours to go and at the moment it's very quiet. "In an ideal world I would have no one leaving and players coming in. I haven't been told I need to sell before I buy."
