Reading defender Shaun Cummings has signed a new one-year extension to his contract.
As revealed by skysports.com earlier this week, Cummings has pledged his future to the Royals by extending his stay at the club until 2013.
The right-back, 23, who joined the Royals from Chelsea in the summer of 2009, was delighted to sign a new deal at the club.
"I have worked hard to get where I am at this club, so obviously signing a new contract with Reading is very good news," said Cummings.
"I want to show everyone what I can do out on the pitch, so this is a good stepping stone towards proving what I am capable of."
Royals boss Brian McDermott said: "It is a reward for his mentality. It wasn't easy for him at first, he didn't play as many games as he would have liked.
"But he's played in some really big matches for us. He's done very, very well, he will keep working hard and I'm sure he will be a big player for us."
